Going Out by Amelie Stephens is the second book/novella in The Abbie Diaries Series. I'd recommend reading the first book before reading this one to better appreciate this story. This is a great, fun and light read with a couple of good messages included.This book opens with Abbie, who has a blog that talks about her life, but primarily her dating adventures, blogging about her roommate, Jo, and her conflicts with her. She is staying away from her usual dating stories because of a terrible debacle with a coworker, Toby, who she had a crush on. In the first book, Abbie goes out with Toby, and in a drunken state blogs all about their date. Toby is the kind of guy who likes to keep his personal life private and is incensed when his coworkers see Abbie's blog. You would think she would learn her lesson but in another drunken fugue she blogs a profound apology to Toby, compounding her original mistake. In this book,Toby convinces his roommate, Parker, to date Abbie, make her fall for him, and then drop her. Parker is a great guy but because Toby is a dear friend, reluctantly initiates Toby's plan only to end up falling for Abbie. Toby then decides he wants to date Abbie again and tells Parker to back off, but Parker refuses. In a jealous fit, Toby tells all to Abbie who is crushed. But she is not the kind of woman who takes this kind of thing lying down. I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful novella; I received a copy from Love Kissed Books and voluntarily reviewed it.

I know two wrongs don’t make a right, so these three might just drive me mental. At this point, as cute and sweet as each couple is, I’m not sure any of the three of them are right together. Everyone has their own agenda and making it happen is going to be at the expense of everyone else. I think the only one I still like now that book is over is Abbie’s best friend Maggie. She at least wants to see people be happy.
This book definitely adorable. I really enjoyed it a lot. Everything meshed extremely well and was a fun read. I glad all 3 books was merged in one.
Playing with people's feelings is never a good way to start anything in life especially a relationship. This second part to the series showcases Abbie's relationship with Parker and her other relationship with Toby. It's a back and forth match and in the end no clear winners. Abbie though tends to show her immaturity by stooping to the guys level in the end. It well be interesting to see what the next book brings for the trio.
I was so honored to be able to receive an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I had previously read the 1st book in this series and it was great. I love how Abbie sticks to the plan to stay annonomous in her online blog till the truth about Parker comes out. Then even when she has all rights to go back to naming names she sticks to her guns and stays announmous. The telling of her date is fabulous and makes me want to give geocaching a try. I hate the way she finds out about the plan that Parker was involved in to hurt her but I admire her ability to stay true to herself. Parker turns out to be a great guy that would be a great match for anyone. I can't wait till the next book in the series comes out.
